Cyrillus Jay Corro Britanico is a twenty something wanderer of life. His close friends call him Jay while his alter ego Sijiro_05 is quite known in the cyberworld. People who address him Cyrillus usually are his colleagues & superiors. He finds his name quite weird & most of the time people have a hard time remembering it thus, provoking him to create a remarkable impression on first encounters for him to be remembered. Most of the time though this strategy fails which gave him the idea to include Jay as a second name for easy recall. However, in this blog he relentlessly uses his full name in an effort to be known as a man with unceasing credibility & integrity.
Jay is working in SITEL Philippines Inc., one of the top call centers in the country as an OCP Mentor. He currently enjoys his function to inspire, motivate & help new employees in the company. He believes that this is his greatest legacy so far & has no qualms in unselfishly sharing his knowledge, experience & expertise to other people.
A degree holder in Agriculture majoring in Soil Science with specialization in Soil Conservation & Management from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Jay considers himself as a self-driven individual. He values his passions a lot which includes but are not limited to writing, teaching or training, coaching or counseling, art, film, music & history appreciation & environmental advocacy.
He is recognized a leader during his academic years & even up to now as an employee. He has served key posts in different organizations notably the UP Sorsogueños & UP Soil Science Society. In high school he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Gleam. He was also the first student to represent his school in a prestigious, national level journalism competition tilt held in Mindanao. He considers his academic & extra curricular experience as a vital factor in shaping the individual he is now.
On a lighter note, Jay loves traveling, discovering new places, ideas, people & cultures. He has a fondness for simple joys & definitely not hard to please. He has won many friends & values friendship a lot in his life & considers it as a never ending relationship. In high school he formed the Mumangs, a barkadahan composed of 12 senior students. What started out as a social group developed into greater friendship & they have remained intact & true to each other up to now.
He tries very,very hard to sing. He is even willing to trade his life with any one of the best voices in the world. Unfortunately, this could not happen so he just contents himself with trying & in idolizing Nina, the Philippine Soul Siren & Lea Salonga, whom he considers an inspiration. He also just gave up on dancing which happens to be one of his frustrations as well.
He is addicted to blogging, surfing the internet, reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music, eating, goofing around, texting & chatting. He is not into sports although he plans on taking up one for health purposes. He just can’t wait to get hold of a Sony Ericsson P1i phone & rediscover the excitement of having a new mobile phone. He is enthusiastic on discovering the beauty of photography & gets excited with the idea of going back to school to fulfill his longtime hunger for knowledge.

Jay is the eldest in a brood of seven. He is the son of Cyril Olayta Britanico & Lorna Gura Corro both natives of Bulan, Sorsogon. Jay is a proud Bicolano & Sorsogueño to be specific. He speaks highly of his town as well as his family & siblings namely, Peter Blitz, Paul John, Mary Joyce, Jasper James, Joshua & Justin Jose.
He is both a lola & tita’s pet. He looks up to his lola, Estrella Olayta Britanico as a well of strength & wisdom & his tita, Ma. Fiel Olayta Britanico as a great source of spiritual nourishment. Both women have played important roles in his life. However, he badly misses two of his grandparents who has taught him the greatest lessons in life. They are Pedro Gueta Britanico (+2000) & Esmeralda Gura (+2006).
Jay is truly in love & commits to share his life forever to Sinji, a great chef & lover. Sinji is his constant companion, bestfriend, counselor, business partner & soulmate. They’ve been together for five years now & their relationship is getting stronger & stronger. He considers this relationship as one of the greatest gifts from God.
He stands 5′6″, weighs 68 kilos (which he exerts a lot on to lose), has brown eyes, complete set of teeth, hands & feet. He loves to color his hair & change his hairstyle. He is sometimes moody but you can always count on him to be cheerful.
Overall, Jay is a very simple person. Laid back, humble but knows how to be confident & live life with pride. He is an epitome of what we call as a carefree yet sensible celebration of life.
